Nava Jeeva
Ashram (New Life Ashram) was
established in India in 1978, a Christian
Organization by Dr. John Thannickal and a team
of seven members.
Ashram means a
disciplining center, in obedience to the great
commission of the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew
28:18-20)
Dr. Thannickal
received this vision while studying at Fuller
Theological Seminary (Pasadena, California)
seeking to apply the mission principles to the
cultural context of India. We gratefully
look back over the past 30 years to celebrate
God's blessings in enlarging the various
ministries under Nava Jeeva
Ashram.

The main
function of the Ashram is teaching the Word of
God. "Commit the
word to faithful men who will be able to teach
others also" is our motto. The ashram
also helps with church planting in the remote villages
of Karnataka and supports poor and
needy children.
We praise our Lord
Jesus Christ for His grace and faithfulness in helping
us to make a difference in the land of
India. Mission in the 21st
century in India is to share the love of God
through teaching, preaching and serving the
needs of humanity to overcome the barriers of
color, caste, custom, nationality, language and
religion.
